RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Assist the Communications Coordinator in developing strategic marketing plans and milestones for our event & programming priorities
– Write engaging copy for our website, social media accounts, newsletter, and blog
– Design eye-catching graphics for social media accounts and ad placements
– Support the production process for the annual festival guide and help organize our advertising and sponsorship commitments
– Get the word out about the festival by submitting information to relevant online event postings, and by researching and coordinating the distribution of our promotional materials
– Learn email, content, and social media marketing best practices, and put these new skills to work
QUALIFICATIONS:
– Knowledge of, or experience with copywriting, editing, blogging, vlogging, social media, online community management, digital advertising
– Graphic design experience (including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Canva), beginner HTML/CSS coding, online community management, Asana (or other project management tools)
